BIO
David Denkenberger was an assistant professor in mechanical engineering at UAF and researcher at ACEP before he transitioned to affiliate.
A recipient of numerous scholarships, Denkenberger earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering science from Pennsylvania State University, master’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University, and Ph.D. in the Building Systems Program from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His Ph.D. dissertation was on his patented expanded microchannel heat exchanger.
Denkenberger has over 100 publications including the book entitled Feeding Everyone no Matter What: Managing Food Security after Global Catastrophe, and his work has been featured in over 25 countries. He has given over 80 presentations including at 8 of the global top 20 universities.
Prior to UAF, he consulted on energy efficiency for five years in Durango, Colorado and taught architectural engineering at Tennessee State University in Nashville for three years.
