BIO
George Reising is a program developer, education specialist, and the curriculum director for Teaching Through Technology (T3) Alaska.
He brings his passion in empowering students to take a leading role as “solutionaries” to the problems facing their communities. He is working on the educational curriculum and outreach aspect for several grants and programs, including the Office of Naval Research ARCTIC Program, the UAF College of Engineering and Mines, Upward Bound, and the ACEP Undergraduate Summer Internship (AUSI) program.
Prior to coming to ACEP, Reising was a STEM educator in Seward, Alaska, where he incorporated project and problem-based learning into his classroom. He played a key role in the success of the NSF-funded Modern Blanket Toss and T3 Alliance programs.
Previously, Reising spent seven years as a naturalist guide in Halibut Cove, Alaska, where he met his wife and started a family. Prior to coming to Alaska, he worked as a systems analyst at the University of Pittsburgh and as a financial engineer in the risk management and utility industries.
