Programs
The Alaska Adult Education Program provides foundational academic instruction so individuals can:
- Advance to a higher academic level
- Improve job skills
- Learn computer skill basics
- Enter post-secondary or vocational training
- Attain the Diploma of High School Equivalency through the GED Program
The mission of the Environmental Studies program is to increase science literacy and to provide the knowledge and skills necessary
for individuals to take an active role in the management of the natural resources
in and around Bristol Bay.
Occupational Endorsement
Whether you like to program computers, install solar panels, design buildings, retrofit
homes, develop projects or make local policy, this program will give you the opportunity
to apply your skills toward improving energy efficiency and developing local renewable
energy systems.
Occupational Endorsement
- Assist coastal residents to diversify their community’s economic base through involvement in ventures such as aquaculture, marine recreation and tourism, seafood processing, and direct marketing of Alaska seafood.
- Enhance the value of commercial fishing, shellfish mariculture, seaweed farming, and seafood processing through training and technical assistance.
- Contribute to the information base of Alaskans who are making decisions affecting the conservation of the state’s marine resources, or who depend on them for traditional, cultural, recreational or nutritional sustenance.

Online Programs
All programs can be completed through 100% online coursework. Some programs are offered with online meeting times (synchronous) and some are offered with no meeting times (asynchronous).
