2016 Annual Accounting Awards
On April 22, 2016, student organization the Great Alaskan Accounting People (GAAP)
hosted the 17th annual Accounting Awards. This lunchtime event held at the Raven Landing
Community Center was an opportunity to recognize the many outstanding accounting students
at the School of Management. The event was emceed by Accounting Program Director Dr.
Charlie Sparks and it was sponsored this year by BDO. In addition to a number of accounting
awards and GAAP-specific awards, the winners of five accounting scholarships were also recognized.
