Help shape UAF's budget priorities

Do you have an idea that will help UAF meet its strategic goals and has a high return on investment? With support from your dean or director, you can request funding for your idea. The chancellor and core cabinet select proposals for possible funding or inclusion in UAF’s annual budget request to the UA president and Board of Regents. This year’s submissions are for potential funding in FY27. Visit the UAF Office of Management and Budget website to find submission forms when they are available.

 


Planning and Budget Committee

Submit projects, operating needs, staffing requests or initiatives that help advance university goals. These submissions are only for state operating funds, not capital projects. It can take a year or more to receive funding through this process.

 


Strategic Enrollment Planning

Submit initiatives aimed at increasing student enrollment and retention. Initiatives will be reviewed by the Planning and Budget Committee.

Capital projects

Submit state-focused research concepts or equipment requests, typically for one-time funding. Submissions for large-scale capital projects or renovations must be coordinated with Facilities Services’ Division of Design and Construction.

 


Federal appropriations

Projects must benefit Alaska and be of interest to Alaska’s members of Congress.
