Chancellor’s Report on Philanthropy

Summer 2023

Dear fellow donor,

As the temperature rises in ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, I find great warmth in celebrating the accomplishments of our students.

In May, we gathered for UAF’s 101st commencement, witnessing the graduation of over 1,000 talented individuals. The event was made even more memorable as attendees engaged in the first-ever stadium wave, creating an atmosphere of unity and excitement.

The next week, we hosted the UAF Blue & Gold Celebration, an extraordinary evening dedicated to honoring our students and recognizing the profound impact of scholarship support. During this special occasion, we had the privilege of acknowledging the recipients of this year’s Emil Usibelli Distinguished Teaching, Research and Service Awards, while also raising funds to provide vital scholarships for students.

I extend my deepest gratitude to donors like you, whose contributions have played a pivotal role in enabling students to pursue their education. Your support has transformed the lives of individuals who would have otherwise faced financial obstacles hindering their access to a world-class  education at UAF. Your commitment to these students enables them to reach  their full potential.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your involvement in celebrating our students alongside us. With your support, we continue to strive toward building a bright future for Alaska.

Thank you for your generosity and dedication.
