Alaska INBRE investigators receive seven administrative supplement awards

The NIH National Institute of General Medical Sciences awards administrative supplement opportunities to develop collaborations between investigators, purchase equipment, address critical issues of women's health, and surveillance studies of SARS-CoV-2 viral strains.
Since 2019, the Alaska INBRE program has received all seven submitted administrative supplements totaling $2,028,441. Awardees in 2019 and 2020 were Matthew Wooller (UAF), Jennifer Shaw and Jaedon Avey (Southcentral Foundation), and Sarah Buckingham and Holly Martinson (UAA) for a total of $568,607. In 2021, a total of $1,459,834 has been awarded to Jack Chen and Devin Drown (UAF), and Patrick Tomco, Eric Bortz, Lauren Lessard, Katie Cueva and Jennifer Schmidt (UAA).
