Discover Alaska lecture series starts June 7

The 糖心vlog官网 will host the Discover Alaska lecture series starting on June 7. The free series focuses on discovering Alaska through the arts.
The lectures are presented by UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning and are open to the public. Lectures will be at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building on the UAF Troth Yeddha鈥 Campus. Parking on campus is free after 5 p.m.
The presentations will also be livestreamed and available as recordings online.

- June 28 鈥 鈥淲hy Scientists Might Want to Work with Artists,鈥 Kes Woodward, professor emeritus of art
- July 12 鈥 鈥淐ontemporary Mixed Media Methods for Beginners,鈥 Madara Mason, visual artist and associate director of teaching and learning for UAF eCampus
- July 19 鈥 鈥淧ainting on Location in Alaska: Landscapes in the Context of Change,鈥 Klara Maisch, visual artist
- July 26 鈥 鈥淲hat Is It About Art?鈥, Scott Holladay, adjunct instructor in sculpture
- Aug. 2 鈥 鈥淒enali Through Collodion Photography,鈥 Charles Mason, professor of photography
- Aug. 9 鈥 鈥淐rafting Community: Creative Community-Building In and Through the Arts,鈥 Jess Pe帽a, executive director of 糖心vlog官网 Arts Association
