Exhibit specialist offers tips for upcoming fair

If your turnips are terrific and your dahlias delightful this summer, display your green thumb at the Alaska State Fair in August.
The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Cooperative Extension Service has invited Kathy Liska, the fair’s crop superintendent and a master gardener, to lead a free webinar on how to participate in the competitive exhibits at the fair, which runs Aug. 16-Sept. 2 in Palmer.
Liska will explain the submission process, judging criteria and other guidelines. She may even share a tip or two on how to take home the win.
