Fall 2023 Career Fair information sessions
Career Services will be hosting its Fall Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 12, and would like to speak with students during class time about the importance of the upcoming fair.
Students are encouraged to connect with companies and organizations seeking candidates from all majors and discover full-time, part-time, seasonal, and internship positions. Represented industries include engineering, arts, business, education, science, and more!
Career Services would like to speak with students for 15 minutes (or less) during class time about the importance of the upcoming fair. They have created a where faculty and instructors can book a 15-minute in-person or virtual Fall Career Fair info session between Sept. 5 and Oct. 6.
The goal of these sessions is to:
- Introduce the upcoming career fair to students
- Explain how to register on Handshake, UAF’s job board and career development platform
- Suggest ways to prepare via our Career Fair Preparation Guide
Career Services is also offering virtual workshops and walk-in resume review sessions to help students prepare for the career fair. Anything you can do to encourage students to take advantage of these resources or to attend the fair is incredibly appreciated! Collaboration between Career Services and faculty/staff across UAF is critical to the professional success of our students.
If you have any questions at all, please contact Nicole Goff at nrgoff@alaska.edu. Thank you for partnering with Career Services to support our students and their futures!
