Inspiring Girls program seeking instructors for 2022 expeditions
Dec. 9, 2021
is seeking instructors for their 2022 expeditions. The program empowers young women to succeed through science, art and outdoor exploration. Field scientists, artists and outdoor guides are needed to plan and instruct the summer expeditions. Expeditions are tuition-free, 12-day programs for high school girls and gender-expansive youth that emphasize curiosity, creativity and exploration in remote environments.
The program is now hiring instructors for three UAF-based expeditions: Girls on Ice Alaska, Girls on Water, and Girls in the Forest. This is a great opportunity for graduate students and other early career professionals who are interested in professional development around scientific teaching, JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion), leadership, field logistics, risk management and more.
