A family creates moose-related crafts during a Family Day in 2017.
Family programs at the University of Alaska Museum of the North will focus on moose during March.
Families with children ages 5 and under are invited to drop in at Early Explorers on Friday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to noon. Create and discover with hands-on activities, and explore the galleries.
Family Day: Moose is set for Saturday, March 22, from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors can meet moose experts, see specimens, investigate the role of moose in Alaska cultures, try a scavenger hunt and create moose art. There is no admission fee for children 17 and under on Family Day, thanks to support from TOTE.
These programs are included with admission and are free for members.
