UAF School of Education earns CAEP accreditation

The vlog School of Education recently earned accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
CAEP accreditation signifies that UAF has met rigorous, nationally recognized standards developed to ensure excellence in teacher preparation programs.
Institutions seeking accreditation must pass peer review of the , which are based on two principles:
- Solid evidence that the provider’s graduates are competent and caring educators, and
- Solid evidence that the provider’s educator staff have the capacity to create a culture of evidence and use it to maintain and enhance the quality of the professional programs they offer.
"Achieving CAEP accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, who are committed to providing our students with the highest quality education,” said Amy Vinlove, dean of the UAF School of Education. “This recognition underscores our pledge to prepare future teachers who are knowledgeable, passionate and equipped to make a positive impact in diverse classroom settings."
UAF’s CAEP accreditation will be in effect through spring 2031.
