UAF School of Education receives CAEP accreditation
UAF teacher licensure programs have earned accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation in spring 2024. CAEP promotes excellence in educator preparation through content and pedagogy, clinical partnerships and practice, candidate recruitment, progression and support, program impact, and quality assurance and continuous improvement. Accreditation has been granted at the initial-licensure level and the advanced level. This includes UAF programs in elementary education, secondary education, special education, music education, and K-12 art education. This accreditation status is effective between spring 2024 and spring 2031.
We look forward to continuing to offer accredited teacher licensure programs that meet national standards for quality preparation for Alaska’s future teachers.
