UA is testing Zoom AI Companion

The University of Alaska is piloting Zoom AI Companion, an innovative tool designed to enhance meeting productivity and efficiency. The pilot program will run until July 26 and help us prepare for the full university launch on Aug. 9.

Key features (currently available for the pilot team):

Meeting summary: After each meeting, get a concise recap of key discussion points, action items, and decisions.

Recording summary: Quickly review the highlights of recorded Zoom sessions without watching the entire video.

Who’s behind this initiative?

The Zoom AI Companion pilot is spearheaded by Nanook Technology Services, with executive support from Ben Shier, UA's chief information technology officer, and Roweena Carlos, UAF's chief information officer. The initiative is facilitated by the Nanook Technology Services Collaboration and Learning Spaces Department.
