Campus climate
According to the survey, two-thirds, or 68% of respondents are very or generally satisfied
with the overall campus climate at UAF. Forty-four percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the campus was free of tension related to individual or group differences, and 62% of respondents were very or somewhat
comfortable with sharing views on diversity and equity.
Fifty-eight percent of all students were very or generally satisfied with their sense of belonging or community at UAF, 24% were neutral, and 18% were very or generally dissatisfied. For all employees,
63% were very or generally satisfied with their sense of belonging or community; 21%
were neutral, and 16% were very or generally dissatisfied.
It was clear that respondents believed diversity on campus improves experiences and interactions within the classroom, workplace,
and the overall community, with 84% reporting they agree or strongly agree.
