Payments to Foundation

 

Transferring Donor Funds

UAF departments may receive donations intended for the University of Alaska Foundation but are deposited into UAF's bank account. Sometimes this occurs when a vendor overpays for a service with the intention of donating the overage.  Previously, a book transfer was required to move those funds.  As of 2/15/2025, has UAF implemented a new process for moving these funds via ACH payment. 

  1. Department completes the Foundation .
    • Completing this form notifies the Foundation that a gift is on the way.
    • The form requires the Donor name, gift amount, intended fund designation, and gift inspiration/appeal.
    • In the payment options, select "Other" and write ACH payment from UAF.
    • This form will assist the Foundation in assigning the donation to the correct donor fund. If this is a first-time donor, contact the Foundation and Gift Services team at ua-foundationfundgift@alaska.edu 
  2. Department completes the Foundation Donation Transfer Request Form (PDF), obtains approvals, and attaches relevant backup. Note: no encumbrance is required for this payment. 
  3. Department remits the completed Foundation Donation Transfer Request Form to uaf-ap@alaska.edu
