ANJC serves as a bridge between Alaska Native people and the justice system. They advocate for justice and work in partnership with community and statewide agencies.

The Alaska Native Justice Center promotes justice through culturally based advocacy, prevention, and intervention services to restore dignity, respect, and humanity to all Alaska Native people.

This website was created by the Alaska Tribal Justice Resource Center to support and improve the delivery of statewide training and technical assistance (TTA) services to Tribes and tribal organizations seeking to develop or enhance their respective tribal justice systems. The website includes a wide array of tribal justice resources ranging from: tribal courts and codes, peacemaking, tribal policing, Healing to Wellness Courts and reentry programs for returning tribal citizens after incarceration.

 

 

 


Funding Opportunities

Scholarships

The UAF Department of Justice offers several department-targeted scholarship opportunities, including five memorial scholarships, in addition the the over 100 scholarship opportunities provided by the College of Liberal Arts.





Internships

Internship provides students with a supervised experience in a criminal justice agency/setting. Placements include, but are not limited to, Law Enforcement, Probation, Law Practices, and Prosecution/Defense agencies.





Undergraduate Research & Scholarly Activity

URSA is UAF's resource for the development and promotion of experiential learning activities that engage undergraduate students to support UAF's goal to become a leading student-focused research university. Undergraduate research and creative activity at UAF covers all disciplines, from climate sciences to music, engineering, anthropology, life sciences, art and theater.
