Map & Directions

The University of Alaska Museum of the North is located on the University of Alaska ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø (UAF) campus. Visitor parking is available adjacent to the museum.

Visitor Parking ~ Museum Lot

Visitor parking is available adjacent to the museum -- lot 9J on UAF's campus parking map. (Link will open in a new window.)

UAF charges $1.25/hour or $5/day for visitor parking, and is free after 5pm and on weekends. Parking permits must be purchased from one of the kiosks in the museum parking lot, near the Thompson Drive entrance to campus or in the Nenana and Taku parking lots. The kiosks accept cash, coins and credit cards.

 
Public Transportation

The UAF campus is accessible by bus using the via the red, blue and yellow lines. Some hotels may provide shuttle service to the museum, and taxis are also available throughout town.

 

UAF Summer Shuttle

The UAF Office of the Bursar is sponsoring shuttle service for the 2024 summer season (May 20-August 30, Monday-Friday).

Campus Summer Shuttle Tour: 

9 am - 5 pm (Stops at Wood Center (top of each hour), UAMN (15 past), Botanical Garden (30 past), LARS (45 past). Last shuttle leaves the Wood Center at 4 pm.
