At UAF SSS, our goal is to strengthen student self-efficacy, resilience and sense of belonging during their journey to graduation.
Our programs provide academic opportunities, assistance with college requirements, and motivation to successfully complete your college education.

Mission
Our staff is dedicated to empowering and advocating for students who are first-generation, have limited income, or those who experience a disability. We offer comprehensive academic and personal support designed to maximize students' innate abilities, encouraging them to explore and engage with their career and personal goals while completing postsecondary education.
Student Support Services at UAF
The SSS program at UAF is fully funded by a $274,943 TRIO classic grant and a $261,888 TRIO STEM grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Through a grant competition, federal funds are awarded to the eight TRIO programs:
