Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP)
If you are a resident of a state in the western region and are applying for a master’s degree in Arctic and Northern Studies, Rural Development or Justice, you can qualify for WRGP to reduce your tuition costs by paying in-state tution.
The WUE region
Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI).
NOTE: Recipients are not eligible to receive the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD).
WRGP Tuition and Fees
As a WRGP Scholar, you pay in-state tuition if you are enrolled in the following programs:

MA in Arctic & Northern Studies

MA in Justice Administration

MA in Rural Development
University fees, books and supplies, and housing and food are the same for all students at UAF.
