Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Tuition Rate
If you're a resident of a state in the western region, you can qualify for the WUE Tuition Rate to reduce your tuition costs. At UAF, the WUE Tuition Rate is available to all undergraduate students pursuing a UAF degree.
The WUE region
- Alaska
- Arizona
- California
- Colorado
- Guam
- Hawaii
- Idaho
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Mexico
- North Dakota
- Oregon
- South Dakota
- Utah
- Washington
- Wyoming
- Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI)
NOTE: Recipients of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Tuition Rate receive reduced tuition because of their residency in a partner state. Therefore, time spent using WUE does not count toward the time needed to establish residency in Alaska for tuition purposes.
WUE Tuition and Rate
The WUE Tuition Rate is $390/credit (100-200-level) or $406/credit (300-400-level) which is 150% of the cost of resident tuition. That's a savings of $436/credit — more than half the cost of the nonresident tuition rate!
Approved programs of study
Students can pursue any major available at UAF.
