Financial Aid and Scholarships
Disability Services (DS) does not offer any scholarships but there are a few offered by the UAF Financial Aid Office for students with disabilities. All available scholarships are managed by the UAF Financial Aid Office. To apply for UAF foundation scholarships please fill out the on Kaleidoscope. All students are encouraged to apply.
Scholarships
The following scholarships are specifically for individuals with disabilities:

Eugene and Loretta Rafson Scholarship for Students with Disabilities.
- For a UAF student with a long term physical disability which affects a major life function. Students can apply for this scholarship through the General Scholarship Application (priority deadline is Feb. 15th each academic year). For more information please contact the Office of Financial Aid.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
- Preference given to any UAF student who has suffered from Mental Health issues and/or disorders. Students can apply for this scholarship through the General Scholarship Application (priority deadline is Feb. 15th each academic year). Alexis Buskirk Memorial Textbook Scholarship.
- Preference will be given to students diagnosed with epilepsy. Students can apply for this scholarship through the General Scholarship Application (deadline for this scholarship is Aug. 1st). For more information please contact the Office of Financial Aid.
As a student registered with DS, we encourage students to add a letter to their scholarship applications, stating that they have a disability.
