Born and educated in Cleveland, Ohio, Candy began her music studies on piano and oboe at an early age. Ms. Rydlinski holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Cleveland State University. She has studied with Harvey McGuire of the Cleveland Orchestra, David McGuire, and Jane Green.
In 1982, upon receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Oboe Performance from Cleveland State University, she was appointed principal oboist with the 76th U.S. Army Band, Kaiserslautern, West Germany. Her Army Band experience included numerous tours to England, France, Belgium and The Netherlands as well as many Woodwind Quintet performances throughout Germany. In 1990 Ms. Rydlinski became Oboist of the Anchorage Symphony. In 1991 she became the principal Oboist of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Symphony Orchestra and the Arctic Chamber Orchestra. Additionally, she has been a faculty member of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Summer Fine Arts Camp since 1996, and is a member of woodwind chamber group Chinook Ensemble.
